We are currently accepting applications for a Quality Lead in our new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Milton, WI, conveniently located north of Janesville. The Quality Lead will work 9-hour shifts, 3:00 pm-12:30 am, Monday-Friday or Sunday-Thursday, beginning 1/1/2025.

Job Summary

Execute the quality systems and programs to prevent or eliminate food safety risks and product quality defects in new and existing products.  Provides administrative assistance to the Quality Assurance Department.  The Quality Lead maintains the authority to cease operations in the event that compliance to quality standards are not being met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following.  Other duties as assigned.

  • Maintain regulatory compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulatory requirements.
  • Execute the quality systems and programs to prevent or eliminate food safety risks and product quality defects in new and existing products.
  • Actively monitor the production floor for compliance to quality systems and programs with an emphasis on identifying gaps between the production floor practices and the quality systems and programs.
  • Hold and Release Coordinator – Monitor, audit, and inventory all product and ingredient holds (Q1, Q2, Q3, Q5 OA). Coordinate product and ingredient holds usage with the Supply Chain Coordinator.
  • Outbound Coordinator – Admin upcoming outbound log, communicate finalization impacts, primary responsibility for COA generation.
  • Materials Coordinator – Input all incoming receivals into the Inbound Inspection Database.
  • Coordinate all 5th lot lab testing and monitor ingredient COAs for compliance.
  • TraceGains Coordinator – Monitor incoming ingredients compliance with TraceGains requirements.
  • Communicate all non-compliance ingredient issues to Corporate Supply Chain.
  • Document and Record Coordinator – Coordinate the proper organizing and storing of electronic Quality Documents. Responsible for development/updates of Quality related/SOP/Forms.
  • Calibrations Coordinator – Coordinate and plan quality equipment calibrations.
  • QA Systems Coordinator – Responsible for maintenance and updates to GBP, EMP, MSS, internal audits programs.
  • Quality training coordinator – Lead quality NHO training (as needed), monthly QA training meetings, update training plan, track due dates, and schedule training. Maintain QA training completion tracker.
  • Conduct Internal audits.
  • Conduct Mock Recalls.
  • Provide back-up coverage for Quality Supervisor and Quality Technicians.
  • Monitor cleaning tech activities and MSS.
  • Interact with Production, Maintenance, Customer Service, Procurement, R & D, and Customers.
  • Assist in investigation activities for adverse events, incident investigation reports and customer complaints.
  • Perform all tasks assigned by the supervisor, while following all company, safety, and quality policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular attendance at work and work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum 2 years of CQC Quality Assurance experience preferred.
  • Experience demonstrating the ability to be detail-oriented and quality-focused.
  • HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and Internal Auditor certified.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook etc.
